Bunting Nominated, Thousands Show

Mandeville – Thousands of citizens turned out from all over Central Manchester to join Peter Bunting in being nominated this morning. The streets were as rivers of orange, punctuated with flags, banners and the horn blasts of the vuvuzela filling the air in an awesome show of support for Bunting to be returned as Member of Parliament.
The atmosphere was electric: Bunting and campaign manager John Junor have said that this was the largest turnout for a nomination exercise. After his nomination at the Mandeville RM Court at approximately 10:30am, Candidate Bunting led a constituency wide motorcade, culminating in a mass rally.
Bunting was particularly pleased at the discipline showed by his supporters for the day. The crowd was energised with music and play-by-play commentary from Dance Hall personality L.A. Lewis.
The candidate has pledged to double his campaign effort on the ground to shore up victory for the seat as the December 29 poll approaches.
